GIFS hosting next-generation sequencing seminar
Join the Global Institute for Food Security (GIFS) at the University of Saskatchewan (USask) and Illumina Inc. for a half-day seminar exploring research applications of Illumina’s sequencing technology and array-based solutions.
This upcoming event will feature scientists and researchers from Illumina, GIFS’ Omics and Precision Agriculture Laboratory (OPAL), USask and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC).
Registration is free for in-person and online attendees.
Topics will include Illumina technology applications in crop improvement and microbial community analysis, as well as RNA-Seq and pathogen diagnostics. Other topics include discovery, diversity and trait analysis, functional genomics, genomic selection in breeding, veterinary health and environmental biomonitoring.
Hear from Illumina on how and where its sequencing and array technologies are delivering productivity gains and efficiencies to farmers at this exciting event. Learn about the increasing ways genomics provide a lens through which to monitor and understand eco-dynamics.
